A message of gratitude to all RCMSAR Volunteers,
It is hard to believe that National Volunteer Week 2021 is upon us again from 18 to 24 April. For most of us, it has been a year unlike any other with the challenges imposed by COVID-19 and the restriction it brought. Throughout the challenge, you have all continued to put the safety of others ahead of personal safety. I am incredibly proud of volunteers of RCMSAR who have demonstrated throughout the year fantastic dedication and commitment to our mission of “saving lives on the water.”
RCMSAR is a fantastic group of volunteers, and you consistently exhibit the best of traits of voluntarism, dedication, and hard work. You are a diverse collection of individuals from all walks of life, and you come from many cultural backgrounds but as a team, what you have accomplished is in the absolute best tradition of a lifeboat service. You have saved lives!
Whether it is service to your community or crew that motivates you to volunteer, know that you are the heart of this organization and you have the trust and appreciation of the people you serve.
On behalf of the HQ team and the Board of Governors, thank you to you and your families for the amazing work you do!
Stay Safe!
