International Rescue Professionals will have the opportunity to view SAR demonstration’s off the waters of Vancouver harbour in front of the Vancouver Convention Center.

Marine Search and Rescue assets will be on display at Harbour Air sea plane docks where conference delegates can view rescue vessels and speak with SAR technicians from Canada and United States.

Aeronautical SAR Assets will also be on Display at H.M.C.S. Discovery facility where delegates can view rescue helicopters and speak with pilots and SAR specialists. Marine transportation will be provided between both static displays.

There will be live Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue Demonstrations June 15, 2019 at the following times:

10:30, 13:30, 14:30, 16:00 Hrs.

Observe Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) hovercraft rescue crews, Royal Canadian Marine SAR vessel’s and a Vancouver fire boat respond to a burning vessel where passengers are forced to abandon ship into the icy waters of Vancouver harbour where the exciting rescue unfolds.

Observe a pair of kayakers who are overturned by a reckless power boater, rescued by a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Cormorant SAR Helicopter hoist operation.
