Support Training for RCMSAR Volunteers

Since 1978, thousands of lives have been saved from the year-round training that our volunteers receive thanks to the generosity of the communities we serve and people like you. Day or night, we stand ready to respond at a moment’s notice when lives are at stake due to medical distress, vessel collisions, mechanical failures, boats taking on water – or those who are simply lost.

Local RCMSAR volunteers in your community – and the communities you visit – continue to face the inherent risks that come with saving lives while meeting increased calls for help as more people take to the water, especially throughout the pandemic.

RCMSAR Impact

In 2022, over 900 RCMSAR volunteers from 31 local marine rescue stations responded to 434 calls for help on the water, assisting and saving 430 people’s lives.

Yet, saving lives on the water is impossible without the support of community members like you.
